Great detail, I felt like I really knew each character very well. Loved the suspense and knowing something was bound to go wrong. Great ending.
Dark & Stormy is authentically written. I enjoyed reading this novel immensely as J Mercer's voice shines through the text and the characters continued to keep me guessing--so the plot wasn't easily predictable. Highly recommend and am anticipating reading her next book.
A huge disappointment.. bad language and subject matter was not what I expected!!

Dark & Stormy pulled me with the characters that we feel like we have all seen living around us. It quickly moved from "known territory" into twists and turns that kept me rushing through wanting to know what was next. You find yourself feeling the emotions right along with the characters all the way to the final page and then you find yourself thinking about them and the story that was just told long after you close the book at the end. A great read!
Dark and Stormy presented me with an entirely new reading experience. Giving away the end at the beginning was brilliant, allowing me to theorize, make guesses and wonder how the plot would ultimately unfold. The beauty and chemistry of the description made many parts of the book flow like comforting poetry, while other times I was on the edge of my seat in anticipation. A thriller, romance and mystery all wrapped up into one tasteful recipe, this book left me open mouthed and craving more at the shocking conclusion. Dark and Stormy really provided the whole package with elements of love, anger and inevitably tears.
